Winnie and Willow are a bonded pair of petite chihuahua girls who truly find comfort in one another and will be adopted together as a duo.

Winnie is a small 2-year-old gal, a bit overweight at 13 lbs, with a soft coat and big, bright, curious eyes that make her hard to resist. She’s a thoughtful little girl who enjoys being near her people, soaking up pets and attention at her own pace. Winnie prefers calm, cozy spots where she can relax, watch the world go by, and feel safe. She’s gentle, affectionate, and ready for a steady, peaceful routine with someone who appreciates a quieter kind of love.

Willow is also around 2 years old, a sturdy 11 lbs, with a sleek black coat, delicate features, and large expressive chihuahua ears. Willow is quiet and observant, preferring gentle interaction and calm surroundings. Once she begins to trust, she forms deep bonds and shows a soft, devoted affection. She will thrive with a patient, loving adopter who understands the sweet and sensitive nature of chihuahuas.

Both girls are naturally very shy and will often scoot away if approached quickly, but they love keeping tabs on their person and will happily follow along to make sure you’re nearby. They’ve made great progress with routine and are now using potty pads very well. They enjoy safe chew toys (especially soft plush-style toys) and benefit from having appropriate items available for chewing.

Willow is very enthusiastic about mealtime and will happily help finish Winnie’s food if given the chance, so they currently eat separately to make sure everyone gets their fair share. They settle nicely at night when gated into the living room and have the sweetest morning routine — they greet their person with adorable zoomies, then happily spend most of the day as cozy little couch companions.

These two girls were visibly sad when separated, and it became clear that they feel safest and happiest together. Winnie’s steadiness helps Willow feel braver, and Willow finds reassurance in Winnie’s presence. For their emotional wellbeing, they will be adopted out together. Because of their sensitive and shy nature, a quiet home without young children would be ideal for these girls.

Both Winnie and Willow are spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on vaccinations. They will need an adopter committed to helping them achieve gradual, healthy weight loss through proper nutrition and gentle activity. Their combined $750 adoption donation helps support our rescue and allows us to continue saving dogs like them.
